[SARASOTA, FL ? August 2011] In April 2009, the Business Ethics Alliance of Southwest Florida started a conversation in this community to bring together individuals who wanted to explore the role that high personal and corporate ethical standards can play in creating a robust business community known for its integrity. Monthly luncheons, notable speakers, and lively conversation have now brought the organization to a crossroad of decision for action. September?s event represents a culmination of 18 months of discussion and activity.

At 11:45 a.m. on Mon., Sept. 12, 2011, the Business Ethics Alliance?s luncheon will feature community leaders Joe Barbetta, Sarasota County Commissioner, and Warren Simonds, VP, Willis A. Smith, who will share the mission and goals of a newly created ethics coalition that will address in real terms the fabric of ethics in our community. Together we will explore the power of this action and the real difference it can make.
